Our academic program is structured around students who are motivated by a love of learning. There are plenty of opportunities for students to advance, based on their own interests and learning style.

What Makes The George Washington University Online High School Unique?

An investment in your student’s college future—and beyond.

We encourage students throughout their tenure to set meaningful goals for their future—and to resolutely pursue them. With the help of counselors and advisors who support them every step of the way, our students go on to attend to colleges and universities. Many students also take advantage of our dual-enrollment partners to graduate with college credit.

A program that nurtures the whole, independent student.

We are not simply focused on academics—we’ve also designed our program to support each student’s emotional and social well-being and encourage them to build self-awareness and design their own path. At the heart of our mission is our Journeys Symposium, in which students focus on building their independence as they move through high school.

An academic community built around diverse students and interests.

Outside of the classroom, each student has the opportunity to connect with and learn from their peers through clubs, homeroom meetings, and mentoring programs. They are able to explore their interests and dive deeper into topics that fuel their curiosity. This builds their confidence, helps them thrive, and prepares them for post-secondary lives.
